My paintings continue to address Architectural forms. I prefer to focus on close-up views that are usually above eye level. Sometimes I select a particular small detail and enlarge it as if were greatly magnified. Urban Architecture has been a theme of my work for the past ten years. It is important for me to find the right combination of detail and form when selecting a subject to paint. My medium of preference is Watercolor. It combines both painting and drawing. My drawings are carefully structured, but my painting is more immediate. In the past three years I have combined Watercolor with Collage to create paintings that are richly layered with textured rice papers thus adding a new dimension to the work.
